The villa Anse Fauverelle was a lime kiln built in the late 18th century and was supplying lime to the sugar factories of the region of Vieux Grand Port. It ceased its operations in the late 1950s when a more modern chaufournerie was installed in Mahebourg. The oven as well as an adjacent shed were left abandoned until 1998. The current owner began to restore the buildings and converts it into a villa while keeping the spirit of the place. Villa Anse Fauverelle is the ideal place for nature lovers in search of tranquility. The tropical garden occupies 3500m2.
